Share the moment a participant says it. Cut clips straight from transcript text, polish them in the clip editor and join them into reels for presentations, reports and stakeholder shareouts.

How it works
Create a clip from transcript text
Highlight a passage in any transcript, name the clip and pick a folder. The clip is saved as a highlight in the transcript and appears in Clips, ready to edit. Clip finder works the other way round: describe a topic in Find new clips about and it suggests matching moments from your interviews for you to accept or reject.
- Open a transcript and highlight the text you want.
- In the bar that appears, make sure Clip is selected and type a name in Clip name.
- Choose a Clip folder and select the tick (Create clip).
Browse, search and organise clips
Folders show as tabs along the top of the Clips page, so each theme or audience gets its own set. Search, filter by participant Tags and switch between Cards and List to find the clip you need. View in transcript takes you back to the moment a clip came from.
Trim a clip
Keep only the words that matter. The Trim tab shows the transcript beside the waveform, so you can see exactly which words are kept and which are removed. Under Playback speed you can speed a clip up or slow it down, and voices keep their natural pitch.
- In Clips, select Edit clip and open the Trim tab.
- Select words in the transcript and choose Remove section, or select Split here at the playhead.
- Select Apply to save.
Edit and translate subtitles
Subtitles are built from the transcript, so a clip has them from the moment you create it. Correct any line on the Subtitles tab, or translate them for an audience that speaks another language.
- In Clips, select Edit clip and open the Subtitles tab.
- Edit a line, or choose a language in Auto-translate subtitles.
- Select Apply.
Remove silences and anonymise a clip
Tighten a clip by cutting its pauses with Remove silences on the Trim tab. Protect participants on the Anonymise tab: blur the whole picture with Blur entire video, cover a face or a name badge with Add blur spot, or disguise a voice with Distort audio. Select Apply and the clip is re-rendered with your changes.
Create a reel
A reel joins several clips into one video, ready for a presentation or a shareout. You can add a cover slide, number the clips and keep adding to the reel over time. Download it, or send it with Share public link to someone who does not have a Quallie.Ai account.
- In Clips, select at least two clips with their checkboxes.
- Select Create reel in the bar at the top of the page.
- Name the reel, choose a folder under Save in: and select Create reel.
