How it works
Upload material
Every recording you upload becomes a participant and starts transcribing as soon as it arrives, with no language to pick and nothing else to confirm. You can also upload a transcript you already have and start analysing straight away. Switch on PII redaction for the project and names, contact details and other personal information are removed as each transcript is created.
- Open the project and click Upload on Participants.
- In Upload interviews, drag in your files or choose a source such as Google Drive, Zoom or Phone.
- Each participant shows Processing until its transcript is ready.
Assign speakers
Quallie.Ai separates the voices in each recording for you. Give each speaker a name and a role, and every quote, summary and answer is attributed to the right person.
- Open a participant with the Assign speakers badge.
- Click the speaker name above a block of text.
- Choose Interviewee or Moderator, type their name, and click Save.
Edit the transcript
Edit mode colours each word by how confident the transcription was, so you go straight to the words worth checking. Click any word to hear it in the recording and type the correction. Some transcripts have no confidence scores. Edit mode then colours no words, and the legend says so.
Translate the transcript
Translate a transcript so colleagues in other markets can read it in their own language. The original stays in place, and one button switches between the two. You can translate a whole set of participants at once, and download either version as a Word document or PDF.
Upload additional materials
Keep everything about one person in one place: screening and follow-up interviews, interviewer notes, pre-tasks and photos. Click Upload more on the participant and each file is added as its own entry, transcribed or processed like the first.
Add tags
Tag participants by anything that matters to the study, such as country, segment or user type, and compare what each group said. Create your categories in Participant tags, then click Manage tags on a participant, or tag several at once from Participants.
